If you had told me a year ago that I’d be working toward becoming a certified nutrition coach, I probably would’ve smiled politely while sipping my protein coffee and changed the subject. But here we are—and honestly, I’ve never been more excited about where this path is leading!

✨ How it started
For most of my adult life, I’ve been on a wellness journey that felt a little like wandering through the woods without a map. I’ve tried the fad diets. I’ve counted the macros, logged the workouts, and spent way too much time feeling like I had to “fix” myself.
But something shifted. I stopped chasing perfection and started paying attention to how I actually felt. I found joy in moving my body—not just to burn calories, but to hike, explore, and play with Woods. I started nourishing myself in ways that felt balanced and sustainable. And slowly, I realized something important: this stuff doesn’t have to be complicated.
🎓 Why I’m getting certified now
I’ve always been passionate about helping others, and that’s a huge part of what I do with Virtually Maggie. But over the last year, the pull to go deeper into health and wellness kept nudging at me. I found myself answering questions from friends and followers about what I eat, how I move, and how I stay consistent—even when life is busy.
So I took the leap and signed up for a certified nutrition coach program. It’s a 3-part course covering everything from food science to habit change to coaching methods—and I’m loving every chapter so far!
I’m learning how to help others build simple, sustainable routines that actually fit their lives. No crash diets. No rules that suck the fun out of food. Just real support for real life.
🌿 My vision as a coach
When I imagine the kind of coach I want to be, I think of someone who gets it. Someone who understands that health isn’t about restriction or hustle—it’s about energy, joy, and confidence.
I want to help women who love hiking, cozy gaming, or LOTR just as much as they love a good meal prep. I want to be the coach for the girl who’s trying her best and just wants to feel better in her own skin without having to overhaul her whole life.
Nutrition coaching is a natural next step in how I show up for this community—and I can’t wait to share more as I learn, grow, and eventually open the door to coaching clients of my own.
