Life lately? Full. But not frantic—and that’s exactly how I want it.
Between working, studying for my nutrition coach certification, content creation, and taking care of myself (and Woods!), it would be easy to let something slide. And trust me, some days I do. But I’ve been really intentional about building a life that feels sustainable—not overwhelming.
Here’s what I’ve been doing to keep all the pieces moving without burning out.

📚 1. I treat studying like a part-time job
I schedule time to study just like I would schedule a client call or a workout. Right now, I set aside 2–3 focused sessions a week to go through my certification chapters—watching videos, taking notes, and taking the exams.
I don’t cram or try to multitask. I give it my full attention, then move on. It’s made the process more enjoyable and more effective!
📅 2. I time-block my week (but leave room for real life)
Every Sunday, I sit down with my planner and lay out the week. I block time for:
- Client work
- Study sessions
- Walks with Woods
- Workouts
- Content creation
- Personal stuff (hikes, errands, rest)
But I also intentionally leave buffer time. That way if something runs long—or if I just need a break—I’m not behind. I don’t plan every second. I plan for space.
🥦 3. I simplify my health habits
I’m not training for a fitness competition or following a 50-step morning routine. I’m just doing the things that make me feel good:
- Prioritizing protein and colorful meals
- Getting outside every day
- Moving my body a few times a week
- Drinking water (yes, it really makes a difference)
- Sleeping as much as I can (7+ hours a night)
Wellness doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective.
🛑 4. I say “no” (or “not right now”)
This one is hard—but necessary. I can’t say yes to every invite, opportunity, or idea right now. That doesn’t mean I’m flaking—it means I’m focused.
If I take on too much, I’m no good to anyone (including myself). So I remind myself that rest and boundaries are part of the plan.
💛 5. I check in with how I feel
The most important thing? I don’t just check off boxes—I check in with myself.
Do I feel nourished? Overstimulated? Energetic? Burnt out? Happy?
It’s not about getting everything “right”—it’s about building a life that feels good day to day, not just on paper.
💬 Want a peek at my planning tools?
I use a simple combo of a paper planner and Asana to keep it all organized—and I’d love to share a behind-the-scenes look at how I plan my week if that’s something you’d find helpful.
Let me know in the comments or send me a message over on Instagram. I’m rooting for you—and whatever goals you’re juggling this season ✨
