About

Hi, I’m Maggie – the heart behind Maggie Midwest.

I’m a Midwest-born adventurer, soon-to-be nutrition coach, lifelong explorer, and lover of all things health, hiking, and nerdy joy. I created Maggie Midwest as a home for people like me – those who are balancing their love for nature, fitness, personal growth, and maybe a little anime or gaming on the side.

My journey hasn’t been a straight path. From supporting small businesses as a virtual assistant to stepping into the world of wellness, I’ve discovered how deeply I care about helping others feel strong, confident, and in tune with their bodies – without giving up the things that make them them.

Whether I’m hiking Missouri trails with my dog Woods, experimenting with nutritious meals, or geeking out over character builds and comic books, I bring my whole self to everything I do. And that’s exactly what I want for you.

Through Maggie Midwest, I share:

  • Honest moments from my journey in fitness and nutrition
  • Tips for nourishing your body without dieting extremes
  • Outdoor adventures and ideas for getting more movement in nature
  • Encouragement to embrace your quirks and build confidence from the inside out

This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being present, joyful, and real – whether you’re on the trail, in the gym, or curled up with a game controller.

Thanks for being here. I hope you find something that inspires you to keep going, try something new, or just feel a little more seen.

Let’s grow wild and strong – together.

A Few Fun Facts About Me 🌟

Because there’s more to life than macros and mileage!

🐶 My hiking partner and best boy is Woods, a rescue pup with a heart of gold and an endless love for the outdoors.

🎒 I’m on a mission to hike all the trails in Missouri – and someday, national parks across the U.S. (I’ve been to 12 – so many to go!)

🍳 My favorite meal to make after a long hike is a protein-packed breakfast bowl – eggs, potatoes, avocado, hot sauce… always hot sauce.

🎮 I unwind with cozy games, anime nights, or deep dives into character lore (yes, I’ll watch the extended LOTR with you)

📚 I love a good romance novel – bonus points if it includes strong, independent heroines and a bit of nerdy humor.

🌱 I’m a big believer that health looks different for everyone, and that it should include joy, rest, and the occasional donut.
