Malcolm Terrace Loop Trail
Hey there hi there!
We did it! We set out and completed our first of 52 hikes this year!

Since Woods doesn’t do so well in the car (we’re working on it), I picked a trail on the AllTrails app that is close enough to walk to. I found a cute little 1 mile trail that’s about 1.5 miles from our front door!
The trail itself is a mile long, but with our walk there and back it ended up being a total of 4.1 miles, which counts as one of our hikes since its over 3 miles! Yay!
Woods did so well! The beagle in him has to stop and sniff everything so sometimes it can take a while, but I love watching him explore the world around him. We had no where to be and nothing else to do so we took our time.
I, on the other hand, went through so many emotions on this hike! I often forget how much being out in the woods means to me. How it helps me decompress, work through what’s swirling around in my brain, and helps me to feel grounded. I always come back from a trail feeling lighter, refreshed, and ready to take on what lies ahead.
The trail itself was physically easy. There were a couple little hills, but for being a part of a local public park it wasn’t technically challenging at all.
It’ll be a nice place to go when we want something quick and easy, and can find ways to change it up to make it count as more than one hike!
